Batch jobs for period end closing.

Is it possible to set up batch jobs for settlement during the period end. The program name I get from CJ8G is SAPLKO71 and which cannot be used for background processing.

My query is it possible rather advisable to run such a batch jobs for settlement ? If yes, then what is the program name I shouyld use ?

Please do not bother...

I got the answer.

For every ones reference, this is how I found out.

I ran CJ8G in back ground and from log I found system is using Porgram "RKO7CJ8G".

Then using SE38 transaction I created variant for Program "RKO7CJ8G", which I used in SM36 to set up the job.

The ABAP program of T code CJ8G - SAPLKO71 is not of a type that can be run as Background Job.

Only ABAP reports of type 1 or J can be run in the background.

From T Code CJ8G, we can only execute the same in Background. Background job scheduling is not possible.
