Hi,

There is as such no pre requisite to learen XI, as you are abaper, considering you have a good knowlege of SAP. If you know basics of ALE & IDocs, XML and bit of Java I guess that is enough to start with XI.

Check this thread, it has very good links to learn XI.

Thanks,

Prateek

Hi Vijay,

As such there are no prerequisite to learn XI.

You can go through help.sap.com.and different weblogs to know more about XI.

Basically there is a beginers course called TBIT 40 of XI which gives a good introduction to all the aspects of XI.

You need to understand the architecture of XI and what all different components are involved in an integration scenario.

It will be an edge for you if you are familiar with xml and soap standards as XI deals with xml messages. But its not definetly a prerequisite . You can understand all these concepts quite easily.

Hi Vijay,

I guess there are no prerequisite per say.

1.If you have knowledge of how middleware works thats good.

2.The added advantage is if you know XSLT and JAVA.

3. The Best places to start learning would be help.sap.com, sdn.sap.com.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

If you have access to SAP XI system then help.sap.com and your system is the way to go.
