Error creating request. Path not found

Hi,

We are trying to create a request in CUP. We have given input in all the mandatory fields like Requester Name, Manager Name, Application and we have selected Roles. Those roles were already assigned to approvers.

When we press the APPROVE button, it is asking to Approve. After clicking APPROVER button, it is giving error like u201CError creating request. Path not foundu201D.

Please check and advice me where we are missing while creating request in CUP.

Hello KK,

Why are you creating a CAD when the approver of your request is user's manager only? What are the attributes that you have provided in CAD?

I would suggest you to use standard manager option as approver.

Hello KK,

What have you configured at stage level option Approval Level and Rejection Level? Can you please change that to "Request" and try ?

Approval Level and Rejection Level were already set to Request in Stage option.

Hi KK,

Whatever your inputs are, based upon them a initiator is triggered which is associated with a path and it triggers a workflow. It seems that initiator defined based upon your inputs is not associated with any path. Check your paths and assign initiator to it.

Sabita is totally correct. First requirement for CUP workflow to work is to create initiator, associate it with path and create stages to construct the path.

Whatever parameter you are passing to initiate a request should match with the parameters used to create initiator. CUP will try to find the matching initiator to initiate workflow. Once CUP finds the initiator, it will send the request on the path which is associated with that particular initiator. In your case, CUP is not able to find the associated path with the matching initiator.

Thanks for your reply. We have created two conditions under Initiator with AND and AND. We have cleared and we are not getting error like Path not found.

Now we are getting error like "Error creating request. Approver not found".

We have selected the Manger name in the request which we have defined in the Custom Approver Determinater. Still we are getting the error like Approver not found.

Please check and correct me.

If you have selected "Manager" you don't need a Custom Approver Determinator - CUP will use the Manager you entered on the request page.

Hi KKRAO,

Make sure your CAD has an approver assigned to it

Work flow >Custom Approver Determinators> select the CAD which you are using >Change >approvers and assign one

This should resolve you error .

Hi,

We have already done the approval assignment in CAD and we have tried to create a request with out selecting Manager Name in the request but still it is giving the same error like Approver not found when we press the APPROVE button.

It needs to go to the approver which we have assigned in CAD but it is not.

Please check and advice in this.
