SAP GUI errors

Hi

I have installed solution manager on Win2003 server installation went through fine but I cant get the GUI to connect or when I go through the browser http://hostname:50000/admin I get the initial page but when I login as "j2ee_admin" it gives a message, you are not authorized.

I have tried logging in the web browser as sap* user too. I confirmed that the database is up and running, listener is up etc. From the MMC I can see all the process up and running.

From the SAP GUI I get the message "connection refused partner cannot be reached at "x.x.x.x:3999"

also gives an error -10

Hi,

Please check is ABAP instance is working fine or not?

To confirm that please check Disp+Work.exe processes in task manager or check process table in MMC. If you cant see these processes. So your ABAP instance is down.

Now after this please check is JAVA engine is up or not? Please check that is http://hostname:5<system number>00/index is accessible or not?

Please update the meesage so that I can guide you more on this.

Hi

Thanks for the response, the SAP GUI issue has been resolved, I am able to login. I removed the SAP router and left it blank.

But the "j2ee_admin" issue is still not resolved. When you login as "j2ee_admin" gives a message you are not authorized.

Hi,

If I am able to understand here thnt " Password for J2EE_ADMIN user is not being accepted".

Please try to use the same passowrd which you have given as a master password during the installation.

and if you have forget the password, you can reset the password using the Tcode SU01 in ABAP and than try to login with new password.

Hi

Its not a password issue with "j2ee_admin" it lets me login from http://localhost:5xxx/admin once you are logged in and click on "SAP netweaver administrator" gives a message " you are not authorized"

I have reset the j2ee_admin password and tried too, I have tried to login as sap* to http://localhost:5xxx/admin still the same.

Hi,

By default, the role "SAP_J2EE_ADMIN" should have assigned to J2EE_ADMIN user. if this role is not assigned, please assign the same using the SU01 tcode.

Once this role is assinged to user J2EE_ADMIN, you can access the Netweaver Administrator using the URL http://localhost:5<system number>00/nwa

Now once you are in, you have to attach the following roles to J2EE_ADMIN for furthur administration there.

SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL

SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL_READONLY

SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL

SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL_READONLY
