Why Spool inconsistencies are generated ?

Hi All,

We have a very old SAP version 3.1H, we have problem with spool & Temse inconsistencies reported regularly. We are removing these inconsistencies every time manually by running report RSTS0020 and RSPO0043.

Can anyone brief why these inconsistencies will be generateed ? (If we know the root cause we can work towards solution)

Is there any soultion how we can automate the process of deleting these inconsistencies?

(We can't schedule the above mentioned reports as background jobs as there will be a selection screen at the end of the report with all inconsistencies where we have to choose "Delete All" or the selected ones. )

Please verify that you have already gone through the following:

Note 48400 - Reorganization of TemSe and Spool

Note 123096 - Spool /job log inconsistencies as of 3.1H to 4.5A

Also, that you are on the last supported kernel for 3.1H.

What is u201Cregularlyu201D? Daily, weekly, etc?

Also, what is your OS and database?

Hi PJ,

Thanks for replying.

We are using AIX operating system with oracle 8i database. We can see almost 10-15 inconsistencies reported everyday. If we are not deleting the inconsistencies in for some 1 month or so we can see around 10K inconsistencies.

Will update shortly on kernel patch level.
