Hello SDN'ers,
Need clarification!
My Scenario looks as follows:
JMS (Sender) <-> RFC <-> File System using PI7.0
My client sends a JMS message to JMS Queue which in turn picked by the JMS Adapter from the Queue and processed by the PI. It works fine.
Now I want to replace u201CJMS Senderu201D with u201CSOAP Senderu201D
My questions are:
(1). Is there any Queue concept in SOAP Sender (like in JMS Sender)?
(2). Sometimes I use batch file (as a client) to send JMS message to Queue which in turn picked by the JMS adapter. Is there any such mechanism applicable for SOAP Sender?
Last but not least, it will be helpful, if someone points out some good blogs to start with SOAP Sender scenario.
With kind regards,
Satish.
Hi!
The SOAP Adapter itself has no queueing mechanism. But the PI has one if you work asynchronously.
To pick files it may be helpful to use the Axis Framework of SOAP Adapter whre you can add your own adapter modules.
Very helpful tips concerning the SOAP Adapter can be found in the SAP Note 856597 (FAQ SOAP Adapter XI 3.0 Pi 7.0 PI 7.1).
For Axis Adapter FAQ refer to SAP note 1039369
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Volker

Hey
Since you are using JMS as senmder right now,i m assuming you have some sort of MQ system on sender side.
As far as i know SOAP sender adapter needs an application to send SOAP Messages,it can not work with MQ systems.
Could you please explain why you want to replace JMS with SOAP?
Thanks
Aamir

Hi,
I can't comment on JMS as I've never used it.
I found the following SDN document useful. It refers to PI 3.0 but it's still relevant.
