Making description field as mandatory

Hi Friends,

Can we make Description field as mandatory while creating DMS document. (DRAT-DKTXT).

Hi sai

You make the field mandatory in the document type using dc10..

Go to dc10, open the doc type , go to field selection, select description and see the options

Hi,

yes we can make mandatory,

go to SPRO - Document Management > Define Document Types > select documet which u want set Description has mandatory. In define document over view creen you will find

Field Selction options select Document Description- clict auto selction F4 u will find following options

1 - Suppress field

2 * Display field

3 . Optional entry

4 + Required entry

select last option Required entry and save your document

Hi,

Thanks for both replies. When I was seeing in DC10, I didn't found that field. It was mentioned as Document Desc. which got confusion.
