Hi experts,

We have one saprouter machine which has been using since 1995, Now we feel to

install one more additional saprouter for standby.

I have installed the saprouter and i inform to SAP.

I can ping the SAP (194.39.131.34) from my new saprouter and the same has been done from SAP.

but i dont know to enter the new saprouter details in OSS1 tcodes and my doubts are

1. How can i use the two saprouter string in my logon pad?

2.What are the entries are required in OSS1 tcode?

3. How to use these both router at a time?

4. any possiblities if one router gets fail, will it replace the standby automatically?

Kindly help... or any sap note is available!!!!!

Thanks in advance...

You don't you use either one or the other one...

2.What are the entries are required in OSS1 tcode?

Go to Paremeters -> Technical Settings and add the second saprouter data under saprouter 2

3. How to use these both router at a time?

Again, you don't...

4. any possiblities if one router gets fail, will it replace the standby automatically?

Thats exactly why you add the details into OSS1

Dear Juan Reyes,

Thanks for your immediate reply,

I think i did not explain clearly in my doubt. that is

After installation we have to change the entries in 2 places ( I hope its correct).

1. OSS1 tcode

2. Edit the system-data in market place.

Here i would like to explain one Scenario.

I am using sap by using internet for my sap entries.

i have done the following entries in my saplogon pad

1. Ip address and description

2. system no and system id

3.SAPRouter string.

Here i am giving new saprouter string instead of old saprouter string. its working now.but i want to take standby saprouter automatically with out any manual intervension during any fail over happen.

but in the saprouter string field i can put only one entry.

How can i do the both entry or any possibilities will it take automatically?

Unfortunately... I don't think thats possible via SAP Marketplace, you must define the SAPRouter to use in each system, and also the router string... in case of failure you'll need to change the router in the System Data and in the string manually.

Hi Juan Reyas,

I found one way to activate the standby saprouter. We can use multiple saprouter string in the saplogon pad.

We can put the two saprouter string in the saplogon pad like this

/H/<saprouter1>/H/<saprouter2>/H

for the refrence pls select the below link

but still i am facing the same problem. Kindly suggest.
