Message Monitoring differences in ABAP and Java Stack in SAP PI

Hello Gurus,

As we all know, we can monitor the processed messages in SAP PI both using SAP ABAP (thru SXMB_MONI) and SAP JAVA (Run Time Workbench) stacks. Could anyone please let me know the major differences in monitoring the messages using SXMB_MONI and using the Message Monitoring Tool in RWB?

Thanks,

Prashant

Hi Prashant!

In RWB you can see all messages. In SXMB_MONI you can only see messages that pass the Integration Engine (ABAP). If you e.g. use the new feature of PI 7.1 Advanced Adapter Engine (Adapter2Adapter Config.) you will see nothing in SXMB_MONI but in RWB.

To be honest: I think RWB is not nice, but the "tool of the future" and will be integrated in NWAPI.

Only difference is that you can see Message in ABAP stack from Java but not otherwise.

i.e. Messages processed by Integration Engine can be seen in RWB but Messages processed by Adapter Engine is not available in SXMB_MONI.

Gourav

PS: In future RWB will be part of NWA of PI7.x
