DMS - File address change

Hi Experts,

we are moving our server which the files are being stored, is it possible to re adress it or it is necessary to re create the document on CV01n and put the new adress?

Is there an exit which I can activate and controle this, could be another solution also

From my exp its not possible to re-link to originals.

You need to download all originals from old server and In new server need to create all DIRs with checking in all downloaded originals using BAPIs provided in SAP

other way is in sap DMS u might heard about DATA MIGRATION, using this technique also we can transefer DMS data with out recreating further....

Hi,

He is specifically asking about migrating Originals.

you links are very generic talking about XI and LSMW.

Can you clearly point out how you can migrate originals by just re-linking them?
