Problem reading data from server - java.net.socket.exception

Hi,

We have xMII 11.5.5 b73 on a server with JRE 1.4.2_07 and clients with different versions ( e.g. JRE 1.4.2_04 and so on ) . There is no problem at all while opening our xMII site right from the server . All of our users are getting the "Problem reading data from server - java.net.Socket.Exception : Connection reset" while trying to record data .

I kindly request help on this issue .

What is the format of the Security Server configuration? Likely it will be in the format of "http://servername"

Ping this name in a command prompt from the client and see what you get to make sure that your network doesn't require a fully qualified name like http://servername.company.com for the security server config.

This basically means that a network error occurred while the client was receiving data from the server.

Check firewall settings

Restart IIS & Servlet Engine

What is the browser version ?
