Naming convention for creating roles starting with z_xxxxxx or z:xxxxxx

We have created roles starting with

z_xxxxxxxx

z:xxxxxxxxx

Will this naming convention give us any problems with upgrades

Nope, as long as you start them with "Z".

Or any other letter from the alphabet. Roles are masterdata so no real namespace issues there.

Just stay away from names starting with "SAP".

You can also use numbers or any of the following special characters:

&

(

)

*

+

-

_

,

;

<

>

=

?

' ' (empty space)

But you cannot use:

/

This one is reservered for SAP Partner product developments.
