Project from Sales Order

Can we create project from sales Order ?

If yes what are the settings or configurations required.

Hi

As per your scenario line item 3, 4 has a BOM... say a FERT item which will be delieverd and subsequently billed.

Do the following step:

1. Create a FERT item... say a item in the sales order...

2. Put it into the sales order line item... and generate the sales order say 1-10252... in VA01

3. Create a project having coding mask as 0-00000-000, etc say and make ur project as 1-10252 in CJ20N

4. Put the FERT material in WBS and run the MRP

5. Do the production and then delivered it through project

6. Billed it in the sales

and one more doubt i want Project number with Sales Order Number and Profitablity Analysis is each Line Item wise. How we can do this?

Hi,

Std .sap functionality gives you sales order num. as the project definition.

For PA for each line item one must define in assignments of cost elements for RA

if i am not wrong.

Hi,

It is possible to create project from sales order.

Before you can use assembly processing in the Project System, you must have made the necessary settings as described in Settings for Assembly Processing. for the same refer below link.

thanks for valuable your inputs.

as per my client requirement in a Sales Order there may be 3, 4 line items each line item is a BOM ( MRP at Sub Item Level ) how can i map this to PS.
