Hello,

Using transaction OMSR, you can make the fields MARA-BRAND_ID and MARA-MFRPN optional or mandatory for the selected Article types by including them in appropriate field selection groups.

Thanks,

Venu

Dear Charan,

Please understand that the fields Brand and Manufacture are part of the basic data for an article and hence will be applicable for all the company codes if you use the same article across the companies.

Alternatively, if you have different sales org/distribution channel for your different companies, you may wish to use Product Hierarchy for particular sales org distribution channel. You may devise a numbering mechanism for your product hierarchy so that it represents a brand and a manufacture, and maintain the same in T-Code V/76. Then you can maintain the respective product hierarchy against the article and the sales org/distribution channel. In this way, you have to incorporate the same logic in your reporting also.

For OMSR, MARA-BRAND_ID belongs to field selection group 200. Go to Logistics - General->Material Master->Field Selection->Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens, put Field Sel Group as 200,and check whether for the field references that are used by your article types, this field selection group is hidden. If it is not, you may wish to check the user departments for your article type also.

Thanks and Sincere Regards,
