Chnage Material master

Hi,

In material master Basic data 2 , client specific configuration cross plant CM,want to change the material asigned to it,

Actually created new matrl by copying existing one,but forgotten to change the matrial there,

now tried in SE16N for MARA,unable to change there,

Kindly suggest where & how it can be changed,

Seema

You can not change the material name once it is created.

Just what u need to do is create one more material and change the material name. That is only the option you have and set matetial deletetion falg thr MM06( I am not sure abt Tcode but just try) for the wrong material u have created.

If there is no Order , Delivery , Prodution Order against this Material ,then go to CU42 with this Material and delete that Configuration.

Then Go to MM02 , and change as per your Requirement.

Its not possible with MM02
