Valuation data for material "A" for sales order item "XXX" does not exist.

Hi,

Need the following information:

1. What is the use of changing the Price of a Material against the Open MTO Sales Order Item in Transaction MR21.

2. While we change the Price of a Material against the Open MTO Sales Order Item using transaction MR21 with Variant as "Special - Sales Order", we get the following error message:

"Valuation data for material "A" for sales order item "XXXXXXXXXX 000010" does not exist"

Appreciate your prompt response on this.

Kindly check whether Accounting 1 with Valuation class has been maintained with that particular material.
