No printer fonts maintained for ARCHLINK

I wander how I could achieve an Billing document to be archived to Documentum.

I created all needed in transaction »oac0«.(Generally archiving in SARA is functionning)

When I want to archive in transaction »vf02« ->Header-Output I choose right output and there I enter:

»Storage Mode«=«Archive only«

»logical destination«= »ARCH«.

Printer »ARCH« is based on

»device type« = »ARCHLINK« ,

»host spool access method«= »Archiving Device«(»I«) and

»Device Class« = »Archiving program«) .

I express message »Update was terminated« »No printer fonts maintained for ARCHLINK«

What could be wrong

I had to enter logical destination for a printer other then the archiving one

we are facing same issue. Could you explain a little bit more your solution. I could not follow your steps.

does anyone have the answer to device type ARCHLINK no font issue?

Hi,

It is correct that device type ARCHLINK has no fonts assigned. In the application, you should not directly assign an output device like ARCH with device type ARCHLINK. you should assign an aoutput device with a regular devoec type like e.g. SAPWIN. If the 'Storage Mode' is set to 'Archive Only' or 'print and Archive', the archiving takes place using device type ARCHLINK. The font information is taken from the regular device type like SAPWIN that you specified in the application.
