Cycling the SAP system

Hi,

I have added the few parameters to the instance profile and I have been suggested to cycle the SAP system. Can anyone please let me know the meaning of cycling the SAP system?

You need to stop and start the SAP instance in order to pick up the profile parameter changes you made. The process used to stop and start SAP will depend on the operating system you are using. For example, if the SAP system is running on Windows, you would use the SAP Service Manager.
