material type

Hi,

For sales & distribution what r the Matrial type generally we r used & so for that what are the Item catagory group we have to define & assign.

Below are the some of the Material types and item category groups.

FERT Finished product -- Item category group-NORM

DIEN Service -- Item category group - LEIS

HAWA Trading goods -- Item category group -NORM

KMAT Configurable material -- Item category group - 0002

LEIH Returnable packaging -- Item category group - VERP

VERP Packaging -- Item category group - VERP

Generally we use FERT as Material Type and NORM as Item Category Group but if the material is configurable then use 0002 as Item Category Group .

In VOV4 ,assign the Sales Document Type + Item category Group + Item Usage + HigleIteCate gives Item category.
