how Can I make delivery type as Mandatory in VL01N?

Create a transaction Variant for the transaction VL01N there you can set the Delivery type as mandatory.

Hi

Delivery type and Billing type are proposed/ defaulted from the Sales document type.

In Sales document type OR ( t.code VOV8), Delivery type LF is proposed. So from order type OR, delivery type LF takes place by default.

You change the default delivery type in the Create Delivery screen (VL01N), e.g, from LF to ZL01 delivery type , provided copy control exists for the pair OR to ZL01.

But, still you want that Delivery type field should be a mandatory field in the VL01N screen then you have go for SHD0.

Specify the transaction VL01N, specify a Transaction variant and make the field "Delivery type" as "Required". Save it.

Delivery Type as Mandatory or as by default ,both are different.If you need a Particular Delivery type as mandatory with that Sales Order , then Go to VOV8 with that Order Type ,and mention the Delivery Type in Shipping Tab.

Your problem would be resolved.

While creating delivery from any referrence in most cases delivery type is automatically come by itself. Without delivery type how u will create delivery????

For example for OR the delivery is LF by default.

The delivery type flows from the settings in copy control settings.

Hello Friend,

Go to t.code VOV8 and Select your relevant Order Document Type and in detail screen go to Shipping Tab and mention there the relevant Delivery Item you want.
