What is the difference between inter company sales and inter company STO?
Both r Same?
If you treat and configure via SD route, then it is intercompany sales which reflects in FI and receiving plant will be as customer debit.
On the other hand, if you configure via MM route, only the inventory value will keep change both in sending and receiving plants and there will no customer debit entry in this concept. This is nothing but STO.
thanks

Hi,
Inter company sto is the process of transferring the goods( Delivering) between two plants which belong to two different company codes of the same company. This can be done with billing or with out billing. Where as Inter company sales is that there is an Ordering company code which (Does not have the respective material stock) gets the order from customer and as it doest not have the respective material in stock, goods will be supplied to the customer from the other company code which has that material. The ordering company code bills the customer and inturn Supplying compnay code(Plant) Bills the ordering company code.

SAPSD1,
Intercompany Stock Transfer Orders comes into picture when the stock is moving / Transferring between two different plants with two Different Company Codes.
and in Inter company Sales process : The Ordered company will ask other company to deliver goods directly to the customer.
Thanks,
Raja

Hi,
Inter-company sales means the Goods will be sold to Branch Company of your Organisation. And in this case The Branch Company Accounts will be triggered in your Parent Company (from which you are selling the material.)
While Inter-Company STO means only Stock will be transferred from One Company to other Company. There will be no Finance Entry in this case.
