I have a problem with J2EE;

I ve installed SOLMAN 4.0 on oracle on Windows Server 2003 Standart Edition.

My system is up ;I can connect but disp+work.EXE still yellow and the Status is:

Message Server connection Ok,Diaolg Queue time:0.00 sec, J2EE status info unavailable

Any process can not be appeared in J2EE Process Table. I check the syslog and ı got thıs message:

SAP Basis System: Operating system call recv(error no 10054).

How can I fix the problem. I need a help.

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

arun

Hi Arun,

Looking at the error and looking at what other people wrote about that I think the following applies to your issue:

Adjust your hosts file located at c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

Enter: <Your hostname> <Your ipaddress>

Restart SAP from MMC it should work.

Regards,

David

Hi David,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have checked the post but it doesn't help much.

Note this system was running ok previously. It is connected to the network.

The entry in the host file is already provided in the fromat shown below.

[Thr 5872] *** WARNING => Can't attach to message server (XXXX/3900) [rc = -100]-> reconnect [jcntrms.c 368]

Now if am correct dual stack instances have two message server , one for ABAP and one for JAVA. We can see that the ABAP stack message server is started on port 3901 but the java stack message server doesn't start on port 3900.

We have also checked in all the profile files for the message server entries for both the stacks and it seems to be correct.

Also when the java stack starts up i can only see the SDM process in the initial state and then it disappears.

Telnet hostname 3901 works but

Telnet hostname 3900 doesn't.

It seems that after trying for some number of times the ABAP stack eventually kills the jcontrol process.

Moreover I see the following error in dev_disp

It says two possible network problems detected.

We also have another standalone Java system in the same machine and it works fine without any problem. It uses msg server port 3902.

Please advise as to why the SCS for Java is not starting up and if there is any other option to troubleshoot this particular error.

Thanks,

Arun

Hmm, well, my best guess is you try some of the hits you get when you search "ERROR => NiIRead: SiRecv failed for hdl" online.

I tried a couple for you, but didn't find an answer just yet.

You are correct about the java message server not connecting to db....the question is why.....

I'd say you should be able to find your answer in one the hits on that search string.
