Hi,

I defined a RKF in BEx analyzer screen. Now I want to duplicate it 40-50 times. But there is no such an option.

Does any body know how can i do this basic copy-paste function in BW?

thanks,

Yigit

hi,

use the function module RSZ_I_COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE_SINGLE.

In the field COMPUID you need to enter the ELTUID out of the Table RSZELTDIR. There Your SOurce-Key-Figure can be searched via the field MAPNAME. Then copa the eltuid and paste it in the field of the Functionmodule.

Source Cube and Target cube should be the same.

In the field COMPID of the Functionmodule, enter the name of the key-figure you want to create.

Excecute and check the E_T_MSG: If No 146 appears, everthing worked fine.

Leave the QueryDesigner and go into it again and the copied KeyFigure is there.

hth

Hi,

The copy of reusable query elements other than query is possible now (in 2004s supported with SP10, 3.5 supported with SP19).

SAP implemented this as a backend functionality, enhancing transaction rszc.

Please see note 981104 that describes the functionality.

Felix

Hi,

You can do it with Copy and Paste functions.

From context menu (right click)of RKF>copy->and again right click on structure/RKF--->Paste.

Hope this helps.

But you can not use 'paste' function globally. You can paste as many times as you need locally only i.e for that Query only.

Thanks

Where are you trying to paste copied RKF?

you should paste in KF structure only in Query designer i.e. in rows/columns where you have your keyfigures.

Pl dont forget to reward points if it helps.

Thanks

I created the RKFs in left panel (does that mean global definition ?) Then I need to use these KFSs in cell definition .

yes it means you created it globally.

Do you have two structures in your Query?

Please try to tell ur u r requirement clearly...after all you are saying you need to use this rkf in cell definition.u should have told this in u r first post.

Hi Yigit,

The Copy and Paste option is a bit deceptive. You can right click and Copy on the left hand side, but you find not Paste here. The Paste can be used in the right hand side like when you want to use the KF in your query. Most of us usually use the drag and drop to do this!

Hope this helps...
