Any idea on how to integrate XI with Geo Information Systems like ArcGIS ?
Hi,
Depends what the GIS system is capable of outputting.
If it can directly post into XI through a SOAP Message this would be ideal.
What integration are you trying to achieve ? Is it sync or async ?
Kind regards
Colin.

Thank you .
We are trying for a synchronous interface with ArcGIS.
The requirement is to call a RFC FM from Arcgis immediately after creation of an object in ArcGis.
Also we need to call some API's or some services in ArcGIS from SAP after posting a document.
I need to check whether ArcGIS can directly post into XI through a SOAP Message .
Sekar,
If the ArcGIS posts the message to XI via SOAP then your scenario might be a SOAP-XI-RFC scenario. Then this url might be helpful to you:

Hi,
This will be your best bet as it is a sync interface and you would obviously hope for a near immediate response.
You would therefore be using the SOAP or HTTP adapter to achieve this.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Get back to me when you know what ArcGIS is capable of.
Cheers
Colin.
Sekar,
Not sure if these links will help, but pointing out for your reference.

Sekar,
One way could be to download the information to a databse file and then use that with XI.
But what software are using to geographical data. is it ArcView?
