Hi!
I would like to upgrade SAP ECC 6.0 system to SAP EHP4.
My OS platform is Windows 32, so I use SAINT
Now I should change the Kernel from 7.00 to 7.01.
By doing so I go to directory E:\usr\sap\GTE\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386 and change the kernel (SAPEXE, SAPDB, TP and R3Trans)
When I try to start my system the sapcpe.exe will be red
Do I need to change some additional binaries/DLL?
Thank you very much!
Dear Holger,
after kernel upgrade.....u can't directly go for EHP4..
You need to first upgrade SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABA, PI_BASIS and SAP_BW to 701 release.
Only after that u can go with EHP4.
Reagrds,
Siv

Hi
You will have to update the kernel in two places:
E:\usr\sap\GTE\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386 and E:\usr\sap\GTE\SYS\exe\run
Also one more suggestion:Increase your dialog work processes before doing kernel upgrade otherwise you may face issues after starting SAP after kernel upgrade

On windows platform, i guess you need to change the kernel in two locations, once the check the environment variables or path as to find what kernel path is included there
or once right click on disp+work.exe or sapce.exe to find the location in the properties, may be you have to update E:\usr\sap\GTE\SYS\exe/run too with the new kernel
