A Quick question on backup

Hi ,

I have developed a few applications in my enterprise portal installation over the past one year . None of these applications are database dependent .

Now I have a problem with my Application server. Due to some files getting corrupted the server is just not starting up . As a result i have done a fresh installation of the application server on a different machine now .

I would like to know if there is a way to get all my applications from my old installation backed up and migrated to the new installation intact with out any loss , since the old server is not starting up at all .

Any hints or suggestions from you on this will be highly appreciated as this is very critical.

HI Subra,

You can transport all your applications to your new installed server. SAP help you in this regard by providing a feature called Tranport packages. By this you can export your application/folder/Iviews etc into local system, after the new server installation is over you an import it into the new server.
