Download to pc from IDES

Hi All,

Downloading a file to local pc is not possible from an IDES environment.

For example, if I try to download my favorites to pc via menupath "Menu > Favorites > Download to pc" from the initial screen, the system freezes and no file is downloaded. The title of the internet browser does change to "Enter Some File Attributes" and a Java applet is started in the background but there is no pop-up where I can enter file attributes.

Both Internet Explorer (6.0) and Firefox show the exact same response.

I hope someone can help out!

I don't understand where internet browser is getting opened from? B'coz, if you go Favorites->Download to PC, it opens Save as window where in you specify the file name and its location.

Could you please clarify?

Hi Faisal,

I am working on a SAP Demo System (HU2 SAP ERP 6.0 (ECC 6.00 EhP4)). This system is accessed through a WebGui in stead of a SAPGui.

Thanks for the update. Just to clarify, can't we use standard GUI for accessing the Demo system?

If you can access via webgui... you should be able to access via SAPGui

Thanks Faisal and Juan. I will try to logon to this system via SAPGui in stead of WebGui.
