Hi Fernand,

1. Release your transports from System A.

2. Go to the directories /usr/sap/trans/data & /usr/sap/trans/cofile at OS level of system A.

3. Copy the files relevant to the transport number from both these directories of system A.

4. Go to the directories /usr/sap/trans/data & /usr/sap/trans/cofile at OS level of system B.

5. Put these files in these directories.

6. In system B, Go to STMS -> Double click Select system B -> Under Menu select Extras -> Other Requests-> Add.

7. Put the transport number as in the system A, and also check Import again.

Hope that helps you. Do let me know in case you need further help.

Hi Nitin

2a. first we should login into OS, before navigating to cofiles/data directories, isn't it ?

2. How to 'goto' those respective directories ?

3. How to copy the files ?

5. How to put the files on second system ?

and what about the permissions/owners of these files ? Can these be 'orasid' with permission 400 ?

Were you telling for Windows OS or for Unix platform ?

Fernand or Garima

Yes, the copy is done from the OS level.

u2018gotou2019 and copy depends on your OS.

The owner should be sidadm and the permissions should be the same as the original files.

If there is doubt or issues, you could always change the permissions to 664 (if not already).

Hope this helps.

Fernand,

You can do transport between 2 system even if they are not in once lanscape, with different OS or different DB. But they should be on same SAP release & SP level.

For that you need to copy cofile & datafile from OS level manually & put it in to targert system (OS level).

Then simply goto STMS>add that req>Impot

Thanks,

1> Go in /usr/sap/trans/data and /usr/sap/trans/cofile. Copy repective data and cofiles of transports and paste into target system.

2> Use tcode STMS->Import. Select your system.

3>From top menu select Extras->Other request->Add

4>Enter your transport request and continue,

5>Import your request now.

Hi,

Just get the perticular cofile and the data file for that transport request after releasing that transport in system A.these files shall be in the /usr/sap/trans/cofile and /usr/sap/trans/data

Copy the Cofile and data file in the cofile and data directoy in the usr/sap/trans of system B .

then run Stms_import and go to Extra then Other request and Add request and enter the transport request.this way the transport request will be added in the Que of System B.
