Hy @all,
for the beginning I try to develope local WebDynPro projects. (without NWDI) So I develepe a Component (HelloWorld ) and try to deploy it to a remote SAP Netweaver 2004s - Portal. But a error messatge appears:
Deployment exception : Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !
Where I can change the settings to my SMD from my Portal?
NWDS -> Window -> Preferences -> ...?????
Thanks for yout help. Im new in WebDynPro and I hope you can help me to learn it much faster^.
Thanks Community!
Hi,
For configuring J2EE Engine, follow
Windows-> Pereferences -> J2EE Engine (radio button SAP J2EE Engine installed on remote host)
To check whether NWDS is able to contact/connect based on the configurations done by you :
Windows-> Show View ->J2EE Engine

ganga

Hy,
I have done so, but the connect test shows nothing:
--> Remote Engine
-
> N/A
No error appears. I only have to provide informations MessageServer Host and Port. SCS Instanz is 01. So the Port shuold be 3601??? For host I have tried the IP.. Something else I have to configure?
The Portal is up and I can login.
Hi,
You are almost there.
Check the message server port by login to http://PortalAdress/index.html and System information
In message server host, give IP address directly instead of URL....sometimes it may not resolve to IP address

ganga
Hi,
To know the msg server host and port
If you have adimin permissions, Go to the http://httphost:httpport/index.html open System Information link. There you will get all the information regarding hosts, ports..etc..
