Hi all,
we would like to implement the following architecture:
a Web Dispatcher in DMZ that calls another Web Dispatcher in a Controlled Access Zone that calls a Netweaver (SRM).
Is it possible to configure this kind of architecture, or is better to make it in another way?
With Best Regards
Hi,
Yes this is possible. Check [Note 740234 - Cascade of SAP Web dispatchers|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/740234]
I have done something quite similar 2 years ago :
Internet --> Apache Reverse proxy --> SAP Web Dispatcher --> SAP SRM
The Apache and Web dispatcher are each one in its own separate DMZ protected by firewalls.
All the links are using HTTPS.
I've seen attacks coming up to the web dispatcher but never up to SRM. (I cross my fingers...)
Regards,
Olivier

I am not sure if that will work. When configuring a WD you have to enter a message server and a port. Via this connection the WD checks, how many servers there are and how many resources there are available.
You are right when you place the WD in a DMZ. But i think it's enough to use one WD which connects to the sap servers.
mabe this [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/5cfd3b0e59774ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm] helps.

Martin
