Digital Certificate for 11.5

Forum,

We are in the process of requesting a digital certificate from VeriSign. This CA will then be forwarded to a company in Singapore where the data store resides.

Once the CA is setup I will then use BLS 11.5 to access the Singapore data using their web services.

What I need to know is what type of cert to request from VeriSign...

Here is a excerpt from the Singapore company's instructions:

"The last requirement pending would be for Air Products to forward the CA public certificate file of the digital certificate that you would be using to access the services. This digital certificate needs to be issued by an external trusted certificate authority (eg. Netrust, Verisign) that would be purchased at your end."

I know BLS is picky about the type of cert and I want to be sure I get the correct one.

Thanks

Roger,

This guide on setting up MII and Https may help you at some point in your activities. It is the "How to Configure SAP xMII and IIS for https". Worth a peek....

Roger,

SAP xMII supports electronic signature and audit logging through the iCommand applet.

But your requirement is Digital signatures ( based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and are a result of a cryptographic operation) so not sure how you will do it?

PKI service designed for heterogeneous operating systems and platforms, a solution with tight integration into Windows® and Active Directory®.

Please explain your MII understanding on it. It will be interesting to know the way and help you to achieve it.
