Hi,
What should be BRtools version for Oracle10.1
I am not able to connect to DB from Brtools and may its because of this.
As of now my Brtools says version7.00<9>
Thanks,

Let me add one more SAP note: 720886
It says Oracle 10.1 is supported for some SAP systems, but only patch release 10.1.0.4 is allowed.
I, too, would upgrade to 10.2.0.4

Oracle version is 10.1.0.2.1 (I can see this version in SQLPLUS)
First of let me know my Brtools are very old version for this Oracle?
and secondly what should be correct one?
but it is strange these Brtools would have come with installer itself then why version incompatibility issue comes?

Hi,
First of all thanks for your prompt reply and taking time for this.
But I am sorry, I do not agree with you as I can see in product matrix link for SAP version and Oracle version where it says it does support 10.1.
(Table view)
> Releases Application Server ABAP Database Platforms SAP KERNEL 7.00 32-BIT ORACLE...

ORACLE 10.2 WINDOWS SERVER 2003/IA32 32BIT 12.05.2006 Released 12.05.2006 Released
I am using NW2004S(Kernel 7.0) with Oracle 10.1 NT I 386 on my Windows box 32bit.
Please let me know why I am getting error while executing any br*tools

Hi,
Yes I believe so, Because I got an option during installation to select DVD of Oracle Client and I entered (it dint gave any error during that, if it was wrong it should have immediately prompted me as installation read LABEL file and then only proceeds further)
Thanks,

Hi,
Can anyone gurantee after reinstall it will work? No,
That is why I am more interested in analysing root cause to avoid such situation in future rather than making it work with trial n error.
If I am 100% sure I have taken some wrong options during selection I will not hesitate to resinstall but
here I am confident about options which I have selected during installation.
Thanks,
Regards,
Ankit Baphna
