Configuring DP

Hi,

I am configuring DP and haven´t configured anything in the spro configuration. Do I need to do any configuration in the spro? What kind of configuration shoul I do in the spro configuration?

If I run the spro transaction and click IMG, should I do something there?

I am guessing that you have never configured an SAP system before. This is not a trivial task. Most people learn how to do this by either attending an SAP school, or by working extensively with experienced consultants.

If you want to forge ahead anyway, Go for it! It is a great way to learn SAP.

I recommend that you always start with SAP Best practices. Here are a few Configuration Guides that may help you.

Hi,

The following menu path will be used the DP Configuration settings:

1. Demand Planning --> Environment --> Current settings --> Design Planning Books (/SAPAPO/SDP8B)

2.Creating a New Macro:

Demand Planning --> Environment -->Current settings --> Define Planning Book (/SAPAPO/SDP8B)

3. Planning Books:

Demand Planning --> Environment --> Current Settings --> Assign User to Planning Book (/SAPAPO/SDPPLBK)

4. Interactive DP:

Demand Planning --> Planning --> Interactive Demand Planning (/SAPAPO/SDP94)

You have to do basic set up such as defining Characteristics and key figures.

Configure Planning Areas

Configure Planning Books

Configure Macros

Yes, Configurations are required in DP in spro.

The following are the configurations that you need to perform.

1) SAP Guide > APO > Supply chain planning > specify person responsible (demand planner to be configured)

2) You need to configure storage bucket profile

3) Plg bucket profile

4) Planning book

5) Macros if any

6) S&DP administration

7) Customer specific outlier corrections

😎 Consumption if forecast consumption is required

etc.,
