Hello All,
We have 1 CI and 3 DI. suppose i need to do SPAM version update or want to apply any support packages, i will be doing it on CI.
But how does that will get updated in DI.
can any 1 please help to resolve my doubt.
Regards,
Ravi

When you update SPAM,it gets updated in Database
CI and DI have one common database, they dont have different databases, hence when you update SPAM it gets reflected everywhere
you can login to DI and then update SPAM and the you will see it has updated in CI as well because every change is updated in database and they have a common database

Yes, it can be done from any instance. However always patch from the Central Instance. Remember that patching invalidates objects in the SAP buffer and buffer synchronization can cause trouble if you do it from a Dialog Intance.

We can upgrade spam patch level Via CI even when DI is up.
Yes you can... no problem at all. Just make sure the system is not been used while you patch it.

Hi,
Please dont apply any patch while your DI server are running to avoid Sink error.
it is always recomended to apply patch with CI up and the Di should be down. And patchs are applied at datbase level.
Thanks Rishi Abrol
