Solutionmanager 7.0 EHP1: can we use client 001 or clientcopy necessary ?

I installed a fresh solman 7.0 with EHP1. In the regarding installation guide (V1.10 from 04/30/2009) I didn't found any postinstallation issues regarding the clients, like clientcopy from 000 or 001 as mentioned in other inst. guides.

Can we use client 001 ?

But client 001 is normally not updated by supportpackages? So if you use client 001 for production you miss some new updates??

better to go to have a different working client, means other than 001
