IDoc Metadata Import problem

Former Member
0 Kudos

I need to send SHPORD.DELVRY03 IDocs from SAP and convert it in XI to a file, but having trouble importing the metadata.

In IDX1 I created the port successfully

Port: SAPsid

Client: 600

RFC Dest: sidCLNT600

Receiver of status message: sidCLNT600

Partn type: LS

The RFC Dest. tests fine in SM59.

Then in IDX2 I try to load the metadata

IDoc Type: DELVRY03

Extension: (left blank)

Source Port: SAPsid

Then I click on Continue and get an Info message: I::000 (no text) and nothing happens.

Any help is much appreciated, I already spent a day on this.

Thanks a lot,

Viktor

Hi Viktor,

IF you have created the scenario with config in Integration repository and Directory.

Just run the scenario, It will get updated automatically in the IDX2.

You don't have to do this manually

Vijaya,

You see this is the other wierd issue, when I created

the IDoc communication channel the Sender/Receiver selection is grayed out(!) and set to "Receiver" even in Edit mode. The rest of the fields are ready for input but not this selection. (???)

I thought maybe it's due to the fact that I don't have the metadata imported. (???)

Yes, "sid" stands for our system id, which I did not use.

hi,

>>>>Sender/Receiver selection is grayed out(!) and set to "Receiver" even in Edit

this is because you don't have to create

sender agreements for IDOCs

so there's no sender adapter

Thanks Michal, that's great info, I only sent IDocs FROM XI in the past... it makes more sense now

And it seems that I should be able to run my scenario without the metadata import.

I actually tried it but nothing showed up in XI and I thought it needs the metadata then.

So my problem is somewhere else...

Hi Viktor,

Usually it is not required to import the IDX2 entry explicitly. But if you change , the Idoc data after importing, then it is required to reimport in the IDX2.

And also just reimport the Idoc into Repository and check it

Same discussions-just look into this

Hope this helps,

hi Victor,

Sorry for the simple question but with

SAPsid - sid is a SID(system ID) of your R3 system right?
