The "add to cart" functionality in the MDM catalog Search UI behaves in an interesting fashion if the same item is repeatedly added to the shopping cart.
Enter in a number for the field quantity (let's say 5), when you "Add to Cart", that's the quantity that is updated in the shopping cart preview (quantity = 5). If you enter a new number in the list view, or detail view, for that SAME item (let's say 6), the new quantity in the shopping cart preview is now 6 and NOT 11 (5 + 6).
Does anyone know why it's built this way, or has received an explanation from SAP on this? Not sure if this is a bug or what.
Also, on a separate note: For regular items, when the item is repeatedly added to the shopping cart, the quantity value is replaced with what was last entered.
For items with price scale though, every time the same item is added, a new LINE in inserted in the shopping cart preview, instead of an updated quantity.
Any comments?
Thanks.
