Batch Managed material

Hi All,

I have following questions related to batch managed materials.

1. How do we know whether a material is batch managed or not, Which field in material master record should be taken as reference. Please get me tech details of table and field.

2. Is it mandatory to enter batch number for batch managed materials in delivery?

Hi Kris

For you first query , If you want to know wheather the material is batch managed or not then in MMR data batch management will be checked.So kindly check in MARA,MARC tables

For your second query , it is mandatory to enter the batch number because when you do stock posting for that material a batch lot will be assigned to that material. So you need to enter the batch number
