SRM/Portal - Issues with SRM iViews after implementation of Support Packs

Hi SDN

We are running SRM 5.0 on EP7 and we have recently implemented Support Packs 14 on SRM, as well as Support 18 on EP. Since then, our SRM iViews are reacting strangely. Any time we are clicking on Shopper, Check status , Help, Inbox, Options or Monitor Shopping Cart, it is opening a new IE portal window and we get a pop-up message stating "You are logged to the same portal already. Real-time collaboration capabilities will not be available in the current portal session until you terminate the other session and then restart this one by refreshing the browser or logging on again." This is very annoying as we want our user to keep browsing within the same window.

Also, again since the installation of the support packs, when a user clicks on Personalize, Inbox, Logout, or other links, when having started to create a SC, you get a pop up saying " Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? You ahve unsaved data ...." Again, we don't want to have this pop up to be shown to users. How can we get rid of this?

Thanks for quick reply

Eric L.

Hi Eric,

Check whether the entries in the table TWPURLSVR are properly maintaned.

Also look for OSS Notes similar to one give below:

Note 1145305 - SRM menu does not work as expected

Thanks,

Hi Pradeep

My Basis/Portal contact performed the check below, and everything is OK. However, he thinks that it looks like the Portal is ignoring the iView settings done for the Work Protection Mode, as well as the behavior when clicking on links... We are still investigating. If you think of anything else, let me know!

Hi Eric,

Were you able to solve that?

We have exactly the same problem when integrating SRM within Portal.

The first transaction opens within Portal window, but any other SRM link/iView opens in a new window after that...

Thanks a lot.

John
