BI Portal: Unable to access to access /irj/portal

Hello,

I have just installed BI system (Web-AS + Web-Java).

I am trying to access the portal page for BI but was not successful with the following error message:

404 Not Found

The requested resource does not exist.

http://<hostname>:5nn000/irj/portal was the link i used.

I was successful in accessing the following URL though:

http://<hostname>:5nn000/nwa

http://<hostname>:5nn000/sld

http://<hostname>:5nn000/index.html

http://<hostname>:5nn000/useradmin

I am able to connect to Visual Admin as well.

My SAP system is up including the J2EE services.

What should I check further? Is the URL I am accessing is correct?

I am trying to access the portal for the configuration of BEx Web Application Designer. I am trying to figure out if this is doable of I need to install a separate EP.

Thank you.

Best Regards

Hi,

Seems to be you have choosed only As ABAP and AS JAVA, while doing the installation.

You have to choose BI JAVA, EP and EP Core too.

Hi,

The error shows that You have not installed Portal in this system. As suggested above you have to chosse the components EP and EPC at the time of installation to get the portal running over AS JAVA.

Now you can deployed the extra components using the JSPM also.

Hi,

You need to check whether you have installed two usage types:

EP

EP Core

It will npt work if you haven't installed them.

Thanks,

If you want to use the portal you need to check if the portal usage types are installed. Check JSPM.

Hi,

You can check the usage type through URL

http://hostname.domain:5XX00/utl/UsageTypesInfo

And if you have installed BW system by checking the Checkbox of EP duing the installation then the usage type of EP would be present.

So you need to select the EP check Box during the installation to get the irj/portal url

Hi,

As far as i know that the url http ://hostname.domain:5XX00/irj/portal will open only for the portal System.

If you want to configure the BW reports you need to configure in the Portal by connecting Portal with BW Java System.

Thanks
