Update a SAP ECC 6.0 SPS 15 to EHP4

Hi SAP-experts!

I would like to update a SAP ECC 6.0 SPS 15 to EHP4.

My Operating system is Windows 32 Bit.

Question:

What is the procedure to do this?

a) Which Tool (SAP Enhancement Installer vs. SAINT/SPAM)

b) What is the procedure (e.g. first to update to EHP3 and then to EHP4)

c) How can I download the appropriate files (from SAP ECC 6.0 SPS 15 --> SAP EHP3/4)

a) You could use any of the both

b) Yes, you are correct...pre-requisite of EHP4 is EHP3

Download the install guide from the market place.

Since your system is 32 bit, you cannot use EHPI installer. You may hve to use SAINT.

Look at SDN also, there are lot of best practice guides ( sorry I dont have link handy)

- You can download the installation guide from service marketplace, quicklink /instguides --> SAP Business suit Applications --> ERP 6.0 --> SAP EHP4

a) Which Tool (SAP Enhancement Installer vs. SAINT/SPAM)

- For EH4, you will have to use SAP EHP Installer. Upto and including EHP3, you can use SAINT.

b) What is the procedure (e.g. first to update to EHP3 and then to EHP4)

- You can directly upgrade to EHP4. Actually If you download the files using solman MOPZ, indicating EHP4 as your target, the solman will take care of providing all the relevent files needed (EHP 3 and delta package for EHP4) for EHP4 installation.

c) How can I download the appropriate files (from SAP ECC 6.0 SPS 15 --> SAP EHP3/4)

- Use solman maintenence optimizer - solman will read your current patch levels and put all necessary patchs and EHPs you require to the download basket.
