Hi Experts,

How can the cPro Application be opened in display mode by default for all users?

I want the Application to open in display mode only.

Is there any specific setting to be done for that?

Go to se80 -click on edit object -then select web object -choose Web dynopro Application cProject

Web dynopro Application -Test -Execuet in Admin mode

Click on User setting -General Settings for cProjects-Processing Mode:Display

Setting for all Users

Hi Arti,

Assign Role SAP_CPR_USER to all users. They would be able to enter the application whithout authorization to change.

It will be difficult to maintain the profile you mentioned for all users.

Problem is that if user want to just see the data for the Project, he locks the Project as he has opened it in edit mode.

I want some general setting that can be done via configuration.

later he should have the flexibility to change if he wishes.

Hello!

You can set this default attributes in a PFCG role, under tab "personalisation".

Select a role that is common to all user, and set the attribute "display mode" to "display". Thanks to this, each new user created will get this default value.

However, for existing users, they have to change it manually in their user settings, or you have to build a custom report that updates the settings database table.

Hi Arti,

The answer given by Matthias is coorect.

This will set the default value as "Display" for every user.

Users will still have the option to change he settings as "Personalization" is always user-specific.

In order to change the setting:

1. go to cProjects

2. Click on "Settings" button on right hand top corner.

3. Under General tab , select Processing Mode as "Change" or "Display".
