Hi,
can someone explain me the difference between the 'normal' 6.40 Kernel and the EXT2 6.40 Kernel?
Thanks in advance.
jan
Hi,
It is the same source code but the EXT2 kernel has been compiled by SAP with a more current OS and compiler.
I don't remember exactly the details. You can find them in an OSS note.

- Start a browser
- http://service.sap.com/notes
- search for "640_EX2"
you will find
Note 1058988 - 640_EX2 Kernels
which explains what it is and where it's used.

So it makes sense to use the EXT2 Kernel?
