Handling local file after DMS document creation

Hi Friends,

We are planning of implementing DMS in our bussiness with high data. In

this process we scan 2000 invoices & store the same in our DMS through

BAPI. Every time we need to delete the uploaded file in local directory

by manually. We didn't found any way to delete the files automatic. Is

there any way for this ?

We are looking the solution in foreground after scanning & DMS creation

to delete the file in lcal PC. Can we do this by any interfaces other or by any other means.

hi, dear friend,

as for i don't any standard bapi's are exit for this functionalities.

case-1 we are manualy deleting, after checkin.

case-2 set deletion flag in workstation application custamization.

or check with apaper for BAPI 'DELETE DOCUMENT AFTER CHECK IN' for mass data uplading as well as deleting.

Hi,

We can do this by using CV120_DELETE_FILE function module & for single doc. need to do setting in DC30.

Hi Sai,

you can set the flag 'Delete after checkin' in transaction DC30 for the used workstation application. If this flag is set then the local file will be deleted since the original is checked in to a storage category.

However I would recommend you to check if the file is uploaded properly the first few time before you set this flag. Because if there is maybe a problem with the content server and the file is not stored completly or incorrectly then you might loose the local file too and so there origin file is lost.
