TEXT Determination in SO Header

Hi All,

We have a serious issue with the Text IDs maintained in the SO header.

Currently we have several custom text-ids created and assigned to SO header for a custom order type.

Configurations are done in VOTXN.

Those custom IDs are getting populated with some data while creating the sales order.

I could see that there are configurations done in VOTXN and maintained access sequences.

My question is that I could not able to point out from where these text ids are getting the values.

In VOTXN i could not see any reference field is mapped or assigned to the custom text id.

How can I find that which text id is getting data from which field of customer master or any other reference document etc.

I also went through all the user-exits, but there is no code written to populate these custom text ids.

They must be getting through access sequences, but I can not understand that functionality how it works.

Please help on this issue. Thanks!

In VA02/VA03> GOTO> Header> Text > Click on " Display Log "Button & carry out analysis.

Dear Friend:

I suffered with the same problem.

There is a SAP note that indicates to run by SE38 the program RVTEXTE.

If you have access to see, please see the note 966625.

This note refer to "dummy/ghost texts in sales order.

You need to see what text the system has determined, and delete through pogram RVTEXT.

But, be careful whit this program to do not delete undesired texts.

Reason and Prerequisites

The problem is most likely due to the dummy texts in the system.

The reason for creating the incorrect texts (dummy texts) is as yet unclear.

However, they are almost certainly generated as a result of a modification.

Solution

Delete the dummy texts

To correct the text tables or delete the dummy texts, you can execute the RVTEXTE report with action 'X'.

See the documentation for the RVTEXTE report in Note 963314.

Hi Vikas,

When I see the "Display Log" and observed that there is an entry below the text id(Z010)

010 VBBK Z010 X 001 101 Requirement is not met: text could not be obtained.

And some text IDs got "121 1..: text could not be obtained" as Note

But these texts were already populated with some data.

This is the reason, I can not find the source of that copied text.

please check FM READ_TEXT for your text ids. Check whether somehing has maintained there.

Hi Yadav,

I have tried with READ_TEXT, by passing ID(Z010), LANGUAGE(EN), NAME(XXXXXXXXXX) and OBJECT(VBBK).

There is an entry, as the NAME we use that XXXXXXXXXX for the sales order before creation.

Even I tried deleting this entry through DELET_TEXT, also did COMMIT_TEXT and tried.

Still the text is getting copied when I am trying to create the SO.

I hope this is some thing related to access sequences, but was unable to find the text where it is coming from.

Please let me know if you have any other idea. Thanks!
