Hi,
Anyone could help me for my concern about St22 short dumps.
In my System,I dont knw,How there is no short dumps before 19th of May.
It was completely cleared. Not sure about the reason,But no body has manually cleared.
Is it posible anyone can share, what was the reason here,
Further is it posible,I could restore the error from the backup of the table SNAP.
Kindly guide me...
Thanks&Regards,
Jansi
Hello Jansi,
As said there is a job that runs in SAP system which clears the ABAP dumps from the table SNAP
However if you want them back,I dont guess restoring table SNAP would be a good option and dont think it would be feasible, rather I would suggest you would have to restore the full backup,so it is better if you have a test system with you restore the full old backup

Hi,
Program "RSSNAPDL" is responsible for deletion of ABAP dumps from SNAP table. So please check that some body may have run this program to clear the dump.
This program also scheduled as a BG job "SAP_REORG_ABAPDUMPS" in the system as a standard job. So check the varient of this job also.

Saurabh

Hi Saurabh,
Thanks,Have verified here the variant for the rentention period is 28 days,
not sure,How did it happnen...
Is there anyway in which this log can be restored as this is really
important for us for Analysing/Monitoring the short dumps .
Is there no backup available ? Can you please let us know what can be
done for this ?
Thanks,
Jansi
