Dear All,

Appreciate your help to clarify the following issues with related to the PS module.

1. What exactly happens when the activities of a project is being confirmed?

2. Can the system restrict in issuing materials once the activities are being confirmed.

3. Once the items are being reserved and the activity is confirmed, is there is a way to issue the materials.

Hi,

1.Effect of activity confirmation:

reducing work center capacity load

update actual cost based on confirmation data.

dates updation for wbs elements

removal of billing block from billing plan

triggering of milestone functions

2.System restrict in issuing materials once the activities are being confirmed:

system can restrict an issue of material once that activity is confirmed, by using user status profile in customizing.

3.Items are being reserved and the activity is confirmed, is there is a way to issue the materials:

this can be posibble..... If the goods cannot be issued, you receive, depending on the confirmation parameters in Customizing, an error message or an error log.

You can reprocess goods issues that have errors and:

*Carry out planned material issues (depending on the settings you made in Customizing for confirmation parameters)

*Carry out unplanned material issues.

Hi

1. What exactly happens when the activities of a project is being confirmed?

Actual cost get posted to the object if u using internal activty with workcenterallocation. U can post goods issue so that material cost get posted to activity.

2. Can the system restrict in issuing materials once the activities are being confirmed.

We can restrict either by closing the abject or with the help of user status.

3. Once the items are being reserved and the activity is confirmed, is there is a way to issue the materials.

Confirmation can be reversed.( CN29 )
