Hi,
I have developed a smartform, in which some arabic text is included. In the print-preview its coming correctly,
but when I am taking print-out, all the arabic characters are replaced with "#".
Kindly guide me to resolve this.
With Regards,
S.Barani
Hi,
Check your printer drivers. And check the service market place for notes on the same.

I also have the same problem but worst.
I cannot preview Smartform with Arabic text. I keep getting # instead of the arabic text.
Any idea. !!!

Hi,
I was facing the same problem. When I changed the device type to ARSWIN then # was gone and I was getting the arabic printout.
You can ask your BASIS guy to change the devie type.
Go to SPAD --> type the output device & press enter --> in "Device Attribute" tab you will find "Device Type". Change it to ARSWIN.
Regards,
Firoz.

Hi Barani,
As per the following SAP Notes, a different device type is required to print Arabic characters:
587150 - Arabic support
809034 - Support for Arabic with SAPWIN
Please try using the device type ARSWIN or ZARSWIN which is attached to SAP Note 809034.
Regards,
Aidan

Hi Barani,
This is due to font family. Select appropriate font family which can support for printing arabic text.

Raju.
