steps to create info cubes

can u plz let me know what r the steps to create info cubes and ods

and plz tell me stps to ods to info cubes

Hi Shashi,

Steps to create Infocube:

Go To InfoArea->Context Menu (right click)-> Select Create Info cube->Give Technical name & Description->Select the charactersitics , time characteristics and key figures you want in the cube from template->Create dimensions and make sure that all logically related characteristics are in one dimension-> Activate the infocube.

Steps to Create ODS:

Go To InfoArea->Context Menu (right click)-> Select Create ODS object->Give Technical name & Description->Select the characteristics which you want as key fields and drag & drop them in Key fields of ODS-> Select the key figures or characteristics which u want as data fields and and drag & drop them in data fields of ODS->Fianlly activate the ODS .

Hi

Go to RSA1 -> go to relevant infoarea-->right click --create cube -

you should be sure of following befoe that -

Characteristics

Key Figures

Time characteristics

& they way you want to create your dimensions.

put in all this & activate.

to create ODS is like creating table -

know your key fields & data fields & then create. follow the same steps as above just create ODS instead of Cube.
