EPH1 How to apply SAP Support Package Stacks.

Hi I Apply the Support stacks of EPH1 .

Steps i followed up

1. unpacked all the Car files.

2. loged into 000 client with admin id DDIC.

3. Support package - From application server

I am seeing two messages when i do the above steps.

He OCS package Queue is Empty

OCS File ALREADY Exists in Inbox Upload not Required

Hi,

You need to follow SAP Note Known problems with Support Packages foe EHP1. e.g 822379 Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 7.0x AS ABAP

672651 OCS: Known problems with Support Packages in Basis Rel.6.40

This notes gives app pre-requisite + known problems.

Also refer Note 879289 - Support Package Stack Guide - SAP NetWeaver 7.0

Hello Raj,

you can use ddic user but it is preferable that you use a user with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW rights

but the issue you mentioned here doesnt seem to be related that,the files have been uploaded sucessfully but queue is coming empty as the pre-requisistes for applying EHP1 is not fulfilled,you need to have all the pre-requisites for EHP1 done

what is the system are you upgrading?what is the support pack level of the system and what is the kernel version and what steps have you done before starting EHP1

Hi Raj.

You can't use the DDIC user for importing Support Package neither the SAP* user.

You need to use a user with the same authorization of the user above mentioned.

You need to select the files you want to import and add it to the queue.

'OCS File ALREADY Exists in Inbox Upload not Required' means, packages already uploaded successfully.

'No queue' means, either pre-requisite not met or a queue is not defined yet. follow the steps clearly as mentioned in notes and procedure for applying SPs

Hi,

Itu2019s a New Net weaver EPph1 installation which I installed two separate

Installation when I applied support package for Bi portal its deployed well.

Only Abap system has this problem. Earlier I applied for different version support pack

I never had this issue. Only this time I am facing issue with EPH1 Net weaver.

Donot use DDIC. Use any other user equal to DDIC in rights.

May be you files will be in the different EPS/in directory and you are looking from different application server.
